Bouko de Groot got his Master's degree from Leiden University, The Netherlands. He moved to Shanghai 8 years ago and has been working for IHS Fairplay since 2007, currently as content manager Greater China. IHS Fairplay is the premier international maritime information provider, publishing daily online news, a weekly and four monthly magazines, and the comprehensive database Word Register of Ships, containing detailed data of over 100,000 vessels, constantly updated with the latest newbuildings.
