Adrian White is Corporate HSE Manager-Projects for MODEC International Inc. and administers and supervises implementation of MODEC corporate HSE Management System in FPSO/FSO project execution (EPCI phase). He has been based assigned to MODEC Offshore Production Systems in Singapore since 2009.
In the last 3 years he has had HSE oversight for 4 FPSOs projects completed, and currently 1 under construction and 1 commissioning.
MODEC (www.modec.com) undertakes engineering, procurement, construction and installation of floating production systems and provides Floating Production System operation and maintenance services around the world.
Adrian graduated in naval architecture from University of Glasgow in 1973 and began his professional career in shipbuilding in Scotland. He joined Lloyds Register in 1975 and spent 7 years in the Far East (Singapore and Japan between 1976-1983) as a ship surveyor. On his return to UK he worked in Lloyds Register safety technology consultancy department. In 1989 he moved to offshore oil and gas business, working as a safety engineer with Brown and Root and later with ABB Lummus Global as Chief Safety Engineer, then HSE Manager.
He moved to Houston USA in 2001 as a Project HSE Manager with ABB Lummus Global, including 15 months assignment in Beijing, PRC in 2005/6.
He joined MODEC in 2006 as Corporate HSE Manager –Projects.
Over the last 20 years he has worked in the areas of technical and construction HSE on numerous offshore oil and gas new and modification facilities from conceptual through to first oil or gas for subsea, fixed platforms, TLPs, FSOs and FPSOs.
He is a UK chartered engineer, and a member of several marine and safety professional institutions.
