Capt. Patwardhan is a graduate of Training Ship Dufferin with over 50 years of experience in the maritime industry in the corporate management on shore including 22 years on ships of various size, types and denominations on global trade in some of the most environmentally sensitive regions in the world. 

As General Manager, he successfully modernized TCC Group Ship Management and transformed fleet operations of TCC Singapore (now Hong Kong) pledging transparency on the foundation of safety as a corporate commitment rather than a department responsibility. 

Formerly, as President, Teekay Shipping (Canada) Ltd, he founded numerous operational and environmental safety procedures and standards aimed to promote operational, technical and environmental excellence throughout the then Largest Aframax Fleet in the world.
