Simon Liang
Simon Liang (Liang, Xiaolei) was born in Linhai city, Zhejiang province on Feb 23rd, 1963. After his graduation from university in China, he decided to go abroad and studied 3 years in Universite La Sorbonne (Paris) majoring in International trade and finance. In 2003-2004, Simon Liang took part in the CEIBS business school CEO program. He also studied in CEO program in Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in year 2008.
Simon Liang was rewarded “Chinese Businessman of World Top 100 Brand”by the First Chinese Business Leaders Annual Conference Committee in January of 2006. He was engaged as one of the ten economic consultants of Yangzhou municipal governmentin April of 2010, and also rewarded “Top 10 Chinese Business leaders of year 2010& 2011 successively”among diverse Chinese Industries by World Eminence Chinese Business Association.
Simon Liang founded Evergreen Industries Group in 1995 and has assumed the office of chairman and CEO till today. In the past fifteen years, Evergeen, a company wholly-controlled by Mr.Simon Liang, has developed into a large private conglomerate which involves industries of shipbuilding, offshore engineering, mineral resource and logistics. He established SINOPACIFIC Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd which includes three shipyards, an integrated design company and a technical school in 2004, and has assumed the office of chairman till today. He established Nantong Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltdin 2006 and has assumed the office of chairman till today. He has engaged in mineral resource investment in South America and Africa since 2009. And successfully acquired MagIndustries Corp, a Canadian listed company in 2011.
