Larry Li

Graduated from Beijing Jiaotong University in YR1992 and achieved Master Degree from Zhejiang University in YR2007.

As China State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) Safety Qualification English Training Course Instructor since YR2006.

Started Safety Profession since YR1996 and Joined CACT Operators Group (Joint venture of CNOOC, Chevron and eni.) in YR2004 as Safety Supervisor and HSE Manager in YR2007.

In the YR2005, Larry organized the “CACT Hand Safety Campaign” which helped to promote significantly hand injury prevention and the company safety performance. The “CACT Hand Safety Campaign” has been recommended by CNOOC as best safety management practices to share in the company wide.

In the YR2007，Larry’s paper was selected by No.19 World Petroleum Congress (WPC) and he was invited to present on the forum in Madrid, Spain.

In the YR2008, Larry compiled a book of <The Journey of Change> summarized all the CACT Drilling Safety Performance promotion practices on both the trainings and programs.

From YR2009 through today, Larry has been editing 8 volumes bi-annual <CACT HSE Magazine> to promote the “Safety a Way of Life” safety culture.

For the first time in its history, CACT achieved 365 days Incident Free Operation (IFO) in the YR2009 with Zero OSHA Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) and Larry was invited by eni. Company to share the best practices on eni. world wide joint venture company HSE conference in Milan, Italy.

In the YR2010, Larry edited a new book of <Use Chinese Traditional Philosophy (Guoxue) to Promote Communication Skills> , since then, he has been developing and conducting a series of such training courses on communication skill promotion, team building promotion and safety leadership promotions etc.

Larry has also been instructed series HSE management courses include but not limited to: O&G Industry HSE Regulatory Compliance in China; Risk Assessment and Management Theory and Practices; Personnel Injury Protection Practices and Techniques; Incident Reporting and Investigation; Train the Trainer for HSE Coordinator; Radiation Safety Awareness; Drilling Safety Practices; Behaviour Based Observation Techniques. etc.
