Shanghai''s Gas Consumption Rises 6.3 Pct in May

Shanghaiconsumed 468 million cubic meters (MMcm) of natural gas in May, up by 6.3 percent year-on-year, the municipal government’s economic information office said in a news bulletin issued on Wednesday.

Of the total, 156 MMcm was for residential and vehicular use while industries consumed 139 MMcm. The remaining 125 MMcm was used for power generation - a decrease of 11.9 percent from a year earlier. (interfax.cn, Edited by Topco)
