Shenzhen Gas Corp. Ltd. has signed sales and purchase agreements to supply 1.15 billion cubic meters per year (bcm/y) in total to two local power utilities, the city gas distributor said on Tuesday.
The agreements come after Shenzhen, a city with a population of around 10 million in southern China, started receiving gas from the 2nd West-East Gas Pipeline (WEP II) last week. The long-distance pipeline sources gas from Turkmenistan and is expected to transmit four bcm/y to Shenzhen. (Interfax, Edited by Topco)
