China's crude oil production in October totaled 18.07 million mt or an average 4.27 million barrels/day, the highest in almost three years, data released Tuesday by the National Bureau of Statistics showed.
Crude output edged up 0.2% year on year in October but on a daily basis, was the highest since November 2010, when it hit 4.28 million b/d.
Natural gas production jumped 9.4% year on year to 9.23 billion cubic meters in October as state-owned companies prepared to ramp up overall domestic output to meet peak winter demand.
Downstream, output of all major oil products in October showed year-on-year growth on the back of higher refinery runs.
Jet/kerosene showed the highest increase, jumping 22.9% year on year to 2.33 million mt in the month, while gasoline and fuel oil production both rose 9.3% year on year to 8.32 million mt and 2.17 million mt, respectively.
Total refinery throughput rose 3.1% year on year in October to 41.08 million mt, or an average 9.71 million b/d, the NBS had said on Saturday.
Domestic production of gasoil was almost flat in October, edging up 0.2% year on year to 14.59 million mt, the latest data showed.
Gasoil's yield as a percentage of overall throughput was 35.52% in October, down from 36.52% a year earlier.
