Petrochemical Firm Plans NT$30 Billion Project

Taiwan-based China Petrochemical Development Corp. (CPDC), one of the world's top five producers of caprolactam, widely used in fibers and plastics, said recently that it plans to invest NT$30 billion (US$987 million) to build a phenol plant in China's Jiangsu Province.
