Sinopec’s Packaged PX Technology Demonstration Successfully Completed

All the experiment items of the PX demonstration device (annual output: 30 thousand tons) jointly developed by Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical, Sinopec Engineering, Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing, etc., were successfully finished, removing the last ‘short board’ of aromatics packaged technology of China’s petrochemical industry—absorption and separation technology. This has made Sinopec a petrochemical company capable of engineering design, construction, key equipment manufacturing, catalyst production and aromatics packaged technology, through which Sinopec will no longer need to import such technology from foreign countries, and rank itself among the three companies owning the technology in the world. Sinopec recently had held the key technology meeting and approved the project.
