CNPC and Celanese Sign Cooperation Document

On August 20, CNPC Chairman Zhou Jiping met with Celanese Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mark C. Rohr in Beijing. After the meeting, a  cooperation document was signed between the two sides for promoting the application of synthetic fuel ethanol.

Celanese is a world-renowned company for its chemical engineering technology and specialty materials. In particular, the company boasts advanced technology and R&D system for coal-to-ethanol at a low cost. Cooperation between the two companies will help CNPC upgrade the quality of oil products, strengthen technological innovation capability and contribute more to air quality improvement. ​
