As of mid March 2011, Egdon has completed the acquisition from Valhalla Oil and Gas UK Limited ("Valhalla") of their entire 50% interest in UK Petroleum Exploration and Development License 180.
PEDL's 180 is located in the county of Lincolnshire and is operated by Europa Oil and Gas. It is situated adjacent to Egdon's operated licenses PEDL182 and PEDL241 where the Company holds a 50% interest.
The license is subject to a drill or drop decision later this year.
They are currently developing plans for possible 3D seismic acquisition over the Broughton-Wressle structures during 2011 to firm up potential drilling location in this highly prospective trend.
As of mid June 2011, Egdon Resources is farming out on a trio of licences in the UK to compatriot operators.
Egdon is reducing its holding in the petroleum exploration and production licences 180 and 182 in the East Midlands from 50% to 33.33% with Europa Oil & Gas and Celtique Energie Petroleum to also retain a third each.
As of August 2011, a contract has been signed with Tessla-IMC for the acquisition of a 45 sq km 3D seismic survey over the prospective Broughton-Wressle trend in Lincolnshire licences PEDL180 & PEDL182. On current timing the survey is expected to be completed by the year end.
Egdon Resources has announced the completion of a 3D seismic survey across the Broughton and Wressle Prospects, which are located to the East and South-East of the town of Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire.
The survey, which covers parts of Petroleum Exploration and Production License 180 was undertaken by Tesla Exploration International. A total of 1,424 vibroseis and dynamite source points were acquired with the resultant survey covering an area of approx. 49 sq kms.
Once processed, the survey will provide detailed structural data over the Broughton and Wressle trend to confirm the prospects previously mapped on multi-vintage 2D seismic data and enable bottom-hole target locations to be defined for one or both of the prospects. It is planned to drill one or both of these prospects later in 2012 subject to technical confirmation and planning consent.
